Privacy Policy

OPSKY ("we," "our," "the app") is a duty-plan and crew-scheduling app built for aviation crew. This policy explains what data OPSKY collects, how it's used, and how you stay in control of it.
1. What data OPSKY collects
- Roster / duty plan data you import (flight numbers, dates, times, pickup/duty times) — stored encrypted, on your device only.
- Basic account info (name, email) if you sign in, used to identify you within the app.
- Google Calendar data — only if you explicitly turn on Google Calendar sync (see Section 2).
Your roster data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party except the one sync you initiate yourself. No roster field is ever sent in a network request unless you turn on Google Calendar sync.
2. Google Calendar data — how and why
When you enable Google Calendar sync, OPSKY requests the narrowest Google permission available for this purpose (the "calendar.app.created" scope). This means OPSKY:
- Creates one dedicated calendar in your Google account, named "OPSKY – Duty Plan."
- Writes your flights, pickups, and duty events into that calendar only.
- Cannot see, read, modify, or delete any of your other Google calendars or events — the permission physically does not extend to them.
You can disconnect Google Calendar sync at any time from Settings. Doing so stops all future syncing and lets you delete the OPSKY calendar from your Google account.
3. Google Limited Use disclosure
OPSKY's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google Calendar data is used solely to display and sync your duty schedule within OPSKY and is never used for advertising, never sold, and never shared with third parties.
4. Data storage & security
Roster data is encrypted on-device (AES-256). Where account data is stored server-side (for authentication), it is hosted on Supabase infrastructure and protected by row-level access controls. We do not store your Google access tokens on our servers beyond what's required to perform the sync you request.
5. Data retention & deletion
You can delete your roster data, disconnect Google Calendar, or delete your account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account removes your stored data from our systems.
6. Third-party sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share roster or calendar data with advertisers or data brokers. Data is only shared with the services strictly required to operate the app (e.g., Google Calendar, when you opt in).
7. Children's privacy
OPSKY is intended for professional aviation crew and is not directed at children under 16.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as OPSKY evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date.
